Meeting with Dr. Max Meier, Head of Hanns Seidel Foundation projects in Central Asia

On March 2, 2017 at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Academy leadership held an official meeting with Dr. Max Meier, the Head of Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) projects in Central Asia.

During the meeting the parties have discussed main achievements of many years of partnership, within the framework of which civil servants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are provided with scholarships by HSF to obtain master’s degree at the Academy. Furthermore, the parties considered perspectives of future collaboration between the Academy and HSF.

Also, the ceremony of signing the financial plan of a joint project between the Academy and HSF for 2017 was held. The leadership of the Academy expressed gratitude to HSF for its contribution to the development of human capital not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the Central Asian region. Dr. Meier shared that he was glad to see career growth of the program graduates, who now work in different spheres of civil service and expressed his hope for further effective cooperation.

After the official part of the meeting Dr. Meier met with HSF grant holders studying on Master’s program of the Academy. The meeting participants had a chance to share their ideas about the program and ask questions.
